No problem, just wanted to make sure we weren't waiting on each-other by accident.

Giggles! And uranium spikes allow you to add 2 + 2 and get a pickle.

Giggles?

Cool. For sure: 8 basic allomantic metals, and one other nebulous one. Frequently also feruchemical gold, and up to one random other.

...sorry. aGiggles. We still don't know if fGiggles is even cannon.

I'm a bit rusty and I don't want to give out an inquisitor spike that grants giggles if that would go against cannon.

Woah! Yeah, that will do it. just need to know what powers were likely in those spikes so I can... my friend can hand them around at the party.

Otherwise, with atium matched, Elend would have just overwhelmed him with stronger pewter. Also means we can't rule out that the missing eye spike would have granted steel, if it seems he could just have had a duplicate spike for it. Oh, and Zane. We know that there's a spot in the chest you can spike to get allomantic steel. Also implied when Ruin was trying to get Spook to kill Beldre.

Were you asking about the extra spikes that they got after the Collapse? We know even less about those, apart from the fact that Marsh had "over 20". Which is interesting since I don't know that that many metals were known of at the time so I guess he just got double a lot? Explains how he was able to go toe-to-toe with Elend there at the end.

Apart from the diagram in the MAG, of questionable canonicity, I don't think we know anymore. Obviously we know that one earlobe grants allomantic bronze, as does one upper arm, and we know one shoulder grants allomantic pewter, and that the heart can host allomantic copper.

Does that answer your question? I can look up more if you need.

As for what the eye-spikes grant... without one of his eye-spikes (I think we know which side, but I'd have to look it up) Marsh still expressly uses allomantic steel, and it can be implied he still had allomantic pewter, or else Elend would have handily slain him. So whichever eye-spike he lost granted either allomantic tin or iron.

We're told that they can have up to two more and still be "Standard". It would take an atium spike to give them allomantic atium and a pewter or gold spike to give them feruchemical gold, which we know some of them had.

The final one is driven length-wise (I believe) into the spine, and it's implied that this one is also steel, though that doesn't make a lot of sense.
Mac

Yeah... we know all have at least nine. Two steel ones in the eyes, the other six (two steel, four bronze) are driven into the rib cages from the sides. No idea on order or placement or symmetry.

I'm almost certain that the eye-spikes have to be steel (granting aIron or aSteel) for obvious reasons, but I don't think anything else has been canonized. And, "asking for a friend", HA!

It varies. That said I think Mac made a study of it at one point, so he likely knows as much as anyone.

Hey, quick question, if anyone knows... What spikes does an inquisitor have and where on their body? ...Asking for a friend...

I don’t believe so: you just can’t ever trust a skinny cook/barkeep/etc.
