The plan

Postby Claincy » Sat Aug 10, 2013 6:05 am

So to summarize our team we have:
A thug/sparker, hits hard/hard to hit/ -5 damage reduction and has a 500 man company + 3 extras
A generalist keeper: hits hard/hard to hit/-3 damage reduction/heals
A mighty electrum misting: hardish to hit/20k man army, 5 extras, personal bodyguard and hazekiller squad
A specialist mistborn: hits hard/metal control, lots of atium

Mistborn has leather armor. Kind of regretting my metal choices at the moment, at least compared to the rest of you. I went for utility over damage reduction. Jastes will be the first to die :(

Maybe, but at the same time you will be standing back flinging coins more while the rest of us bullrush him. So I think he'll be a tad focused on us.

Actually, also note that despite his electrum Robert won't be *that* hard to kill compared to Vorun or Eddard. Vorun has healing and 10 defense dice against every attack and -3damage. Eddard has 10 defense dice against every attack and -5 damage. But Robert only has 10 defense dice + action dice for the round and -1 damage.

Hopefully. I'd say that I was hidden among the crowd, but I'm guessing all it will take is a copper cloud pierce and he'll have me picked. Additionally, we keep forgetting how fast he can move. He has Steel Running + Extreme Speed + Ironslide ... conditions optimal (and it's hard to see how they wouldn't be given how it will all be set up) he has a base 6 free steps per beat... and that's before we consider tapping speed for free steps. If he wanted to, he could dash up to me straight off the bat and rip my head off. In fact, that would be a good strategy, since with me out of the way he can simply avoid you all while he flings chunks of metal at you (coins, fallen swords, our soldiers) without having to worry about my deflections and redirections...

Hmm, true, however given what we know of TLR I doubt he would. I think he will deal with the direct threat first unless you do something in particular to distinguish yourself.

OH nuts. Just thought of a different way to build Eddard that would be more powerful. Given that with the zinc tapped any dice over 10 action dice are useless to him when fully tapped. He really only needs a pewter score of, well 4 I guess. Not thinking I would have dropped it that far. But exchange 2 extra health and 1 damage reduction for gold feruchemy? Oh yes :P

Here's my thinking if I'd built him this way:
mighty haemalurgist: rating 5 spike granting fZinc (+ a strong power)
strong haemalurgist: rating 4 spike granting fGold (+an average power)
Average misting, rating 5 pewter with denser tissues 1.

That would somehow have been MORE powerful XD

I was under the impression you could only tap at most 50 Zinc giving you 5 Defence dice... or would you be tapping 50 in beat one and 50 in beat two? That seems a bit loop holey...

"A Feruchemist can use these options in any combination, but the maximum
number of stored charges that may be tapped for each action or roll is equal
to 10 × the Feruchemist’s rating with that metal."

Hrm. Action not beat. What does that mean for tapping Zinc en masse? No limit?

I don't think its all that loopholey. Look at it this way, compare the various merits of 100 charges of zinc, that lasts for 1 battle, with tapping 100 charges of gold or pewter or electrum. It's powerful all right, but its not as powerful as those. Burning 100 charges for a single fight is no joke.

Yeah. You're right. Is the limit even applied given it doesn't say beat but action, or roll? Tap 50 on your first action, and when you have to make a defence roll, tap the other 50 :)
