Bands of Mourning Chat *Spoilers for all chapters so far*

A place to do whatever, out of character.

So... Chapter 4, eh? Wayne is of course always fun, but there wasn't a lot of interesting discussion bait.

It was weird Wax referred to the Kandra as Metalborn. I mean, I guess, technically, but it's still weird.

We got a little bit more on Kandra nature- namely that the reason they can't mimic anything too small is because they need a certain amount of mass to maintain their cognitive functions. I wonder if he's referring to their blessings or the little nervous system nodes they have scattered through their body, or both...

What surprised me more was that the kandra were well aware that Kelsier held the power for a time and more importantly that the others showed no signs of surprise at the statement so probably knew too.

Reading part of chapter 3 felt a lot like reading a discussion on 17s or here :p

Edit: If it is possible to entirely store your allomantic/feruchemic abilities in a metalmind, not just temporarily, suddenly tlr's death would make a lot more sense.

Kelsier holding the power was mentioned in SoS as a Harmony-confirmed fact.

He did? I didn't catch that.

I'm definitely in the camp that likes Steris more and more as she gets more screen time.

Also, we're going to have to stat out Ranette's anti-thug cannon shotgun. That sounds fun. ;)

I'm waiting for AoL supplement 2 on that. Also, being able to handle Kickback better screams "fIron Shot Stunt" to me. Which is great, because there are currently no Skimmer stunts and double Iron is one half of my Pendulum (I'm back on Double Iron if that wasn't obvious).

“Well, they would argue that they don’t need our government, as they have their own city administrations. Waxillium, many in the Basin feel that Elendel is trying to act as if our governor were some kind of emperor—something that was supposed to have ended when the Lord Mistborn stepped down after his century of rule.”

I think the years match our years. Spook was very long lived. Perhaps Sazed extended his lifespan when he remade everyone...
